Cellular Jail

Built by the Britishers in 1906. Because it was entirely made up of single cells to keep prisoners in solitary confinement, the prison acquired the name ' cellular '.

Originally it was a seven ronged structure, with a dominant central tower with a honeycomb of corridors.

Today only three prongs are left standing - a witness to the horrors tha were perpetratedby the British rulers on the Indian freedom fighters during the colonial period.

For those who love freedom & are aware of the heroic saga of the Indian Freedom struggle, the Jail is now a place of pilgrimage & was declared a National memorial on 30 th Deceber 1997.

Andaman Water Sports Complex

A sports complex with a difference which has failities for adventure filled water sorts like Kayaks, Aqua Glide, Bumper boats, Rowing boats, Aqua Cyle & a Saline Water Swimming Pool. Enjoy nature walks, food plazas changing room.Also there is a memorial built as a reminder of the Battle of Aberdeen, which was fought in May 1859 between the British Ary & the Andaman Adorigines.

Set up by Traffic Police to create awareness about traffic rulesamong young childrens.

Gandhi Park

Dilthaman Tank, the only source of drinking water in Port Blair, was developed into Gandhi Park within just 13 days. Facilities inclde Children's park, Deer & Bird Park etc.

Just 7 kms. away from ton, Corbyn Cove is the beach for those who love swimming, surfing & sun basking.

Chatham Saw Mill

One of the oldest & the largest asw mills in Asia - the Chatham Saw Mill is built on a small island. A bridge connects it to Port Blair. It is a storage house of countless varieties of timber like Satinwood, Padauk, Marble & Gurjan. Tis island also hiuses the second largest wharf of Andaman islands which facilities ships to berth here.

Mini Zoo

Here can be seen some of the Andaman & Nicobar Island's rare species of endemic birds & animals. It is situated in Haddo, Port Blair.

Samudrika

Located close to the Andaman Teal House, Port Blair, it is an ideal place to understand asects of ocenic environment. On display, are various varieties os shells, corals & colourful fish.

ZSI Museum

Lies close to the Andamna Teal House, Delanipur. At the Zoological Survey of India Museum & Research Library every possible information on the different varieties of butterflies, corals, centipedes, sponges etc. is readily available.
