Dances are an integral part of the Tribal Culture. Dances here are simple, rythmic, coIourfuI and participative. They are performed at the slightest pretext & the visitors are expected to join in.

Popir

Similar to Ponung but is performed on the occasion of Mop in, festival of the Galos. The dancers wear white dresses and elaborate headgear of straw.

Dishang

Performed by the men folk, It is a community dance using sticks.

Tapu

An interesting martial dance. Performed with long swords, vigourous cries and rapid movements.

Ponung

This dance of the Minyong group od Adis is perfomed especially on the occasion of the Solung festival. The priest called Miri rattless an ancient sword and sings legends.
