Gateway Of India :

Was the principal port when the visitors came to India by ship. It commemorates the visit of King George V and Queen Marry to India in 1911 and was officially opened in 1924. Nearby is COLABA-the shopping paradise and SASSOON DOC- the unloading centre of fish.

Hanging Gardens And Kamala Nehru Park On Malabar Hill :

The former is built over Mumbai's reservoir. From the Kamala Nehru park, situated opposite there gardens, one can get a panoramic view of the picturesque Marine Drive.

As lights on Marine Drive are called, they are a great attraction after sunset.

It can be reached by a long causeway which can be crossed at low tide.

Kanheri Caves :

There are 109 Buddhist caves dating from 2nd and 9th centuries. Out of which number 3, the great Chaitya cave, is most beautiful.

Elephanta Caves :

Elephanta is the glorious abode of Shiva. He reigns supreme here. An-hour journey by launch takes you to the cave temple of Elephanta caves, dedicated to Lord Shiva, hink in the 7th century. Elephanta festival of music and dance is celebrated every year on the backdrops of the caves.
